Em comemoração à data, celebrada durante o mês de abril, nossos estudantes do programa bilíngue International School mergulharam no universo de William Shakespeare!

Reconhecido como o maior dramaturgo da língua inglesa, Shakespeare é amplamente lembrado por sua enorme contribuição à literatura e ao idioma. Suas obras expandiram o vocabulário, criaram expressões que até hoje fazem parte do cotidiano e influenciaram profundamente a forma como o inglês é escrito e falado.

Por todas essas contribuições, o dia 23 de abril — data de nascimento de William Shakespeare — foi escolhido para celebrar o Dia da Língua Inglesa. Uma forma simbólica de reconhecer o legado que ele deixou para o idioma.

Ele foi homenageado com retratos, encenações teatrais e apresentações criativas sobre sua vida e suas obras. Uma verdadeira imersão cultural e linguística que celebrou não só o idioma, mas também a força da arte e da literatura inglesa.

To celebrate this special occasion, observed throughout the month of April, our students from the International School bilingual program immersed themselves in the world of William Shakespeare!

Recognized as the greatest playwright in the English language, Shakespeare is widely remembered for his immense contribution to both literature and the language itself. His works expanded vocabulary, coined expressions still used today, and deeply influenced the way English is written and spoken.

In recognition of these contributions, April 23rd — William Shakespeare’s birthday — was chosen as English Language Day, honoring the legacy he left for the language.

He was honored through portraits, theatrical performances, and creative presentations about his life and legacy. A true cultural and linguistic immersion that celebrated not only the language but also the power of English art and literature.
