Foi neste clima de alegria e conquistas que os estudantes do Instituto Nossa Senhora da Glória – INSG/Castelo, em Macaé, foram honrados com os certificados de proficiência da renomada Universidade de Cambridge. Ao todo, 15 estudantes foram reconhecidos por seu excelente desempenho. A cerimônia aconteceu na última terça-feira (02), reunindo famílias e equipe pedagógica do Integral-Bilíngue.
Os alunos do Ensino Fundamental I foram avaliados nas categorias Young Learners, nos níveis Starters, Movers e Flyers, demonstrando habilidades linguísticas notáveis em inglês a partir dos 7 anos de idade. Já os alunos do Ensino Fundamental II enfrentaram o desafio da prova KET – Key English Test, um importante passo na jornada rumo à fluência no idioma. O KET é reconhecido como uma porta de entrada para os exames de proficiência para adolescentes, representando um marco significativo em suas trajetórias educacionais. “É emocionante a participação das famílias vivenciando concretamente o que fazemos nas salas de aula diariamente”, pontua a coordenadora pedagógica, Amanda Teski.
Entre os destaques estão as alunas Anabel Costa Cavalcanti, da 2ª série do Ensino Médio, e Marcelle Salatiel da Silva Pires, do 8º ano do Ensino Fundamental II. O desempenho dessas alunas, que prestaram o exame para o nível A2-CEFR, resultou na obtenção do certificado de nível B1 – um nível acima da prova prestada, superando as expectativas estabelecidas. Segundo Amanda, essa é a segunda vez consecutiva que o Colégio Castelo alcança esse feito, o que representa um marco significativo em nosso compromisso com a excelência educacional. “Esta prova avalia as quatro habilidades essenciais na língua. Esse êxito reafirma nossa capacidade em preparar os alunos, garantindo que alcancem resultados além do esperado”, conta.
As provas internacionais aplicadas no Colégio Castelo seguem o padrão CEFR – Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, que significa Quadro Europeu Comum de Referência para Línguas – padrão internacional para reconhecer a proficiência em um idioma. Obedecendo a esses parâmetros, os exames dos alunos iniciaram com o nível pré-A1 e se estenderam até B1.
Desde 2016, o Colégio Castelo é um centro preparador dos exames Cambridge, tendo obtido, em 2018, o título de centro examinador.

Bilingual Education: Cambridge University Certifies Students from Colégio Castelo
It was in this atmosphere of joy and accomplishments that students from Instituto Nossa Senhora da Glória – INSG/Castelo, in Macaé, were honored with proficiency certificates from the renowned Cambridge University. In total, 15 students were recognized for their excellent performance. The ceremony took place last Tuesday (02), bringing together families and the pedagogical team of the Bilingual Program.
Elementary School students were assessed in the Young Learners categories, at the Starters, Movers, and Flyers levels, demonstrating remarkable English language skills from the age of 7. Meanwhile, Middle Elementary School students faced the challenge of the Key English Test (KET), an important step in their journey towards fluency in the language. The KET is recognized as a gateway to proficiency exams for teenagers, marking a significant milestone in their educational journeys. “It’s thrilling to see families actively experiencing what we do in the classrooms every day,” notes the educational coordinator, Amanda Teski.
Among the highlights are students Ana Bel Costa Cavalcanti, from the 2nd grade of High School, and Marcelle Salatiel da Silva Pires, from the 8th year of Middle School. The performance of these students, who took the A2-CEFR level exam, resulted in the attainment of the B1 level certificate – a level above the exam taken, surpassing the established expectations. According to Amanda, this is the second year that Colégio Castelo achieves this feat, which represents a significant milestone in our commitment to educational excellence. “This exam evaluates the four essential language skills, and this success reaffirms our ability to prepare students, ensuring they achieve results beyond what is expected.”
The international exams administered at Castelo School follow the CEFR standard – Common European Framework of Reference for Languages, which is the international standard for recognizing language proficiency. Following these parameters, the students’ exams ranged from the pre-A1 level to B1.
Since 2016, Castelo School has been a preparatory center for Cambridge exams, having obtained the title of examination center in 2018.
